The Ferrari 250 GTO is a vehicle that was manufactured by Ferrari from 1962 to 1964. The model was presented at the Paris Auto Show in 1962 and at the Geneva Auto Show in 1963. It was a a grand touring car produced in limited series and intended for the road racing market. The "250" in its name designates the displacement of each cylinder of its engine; "GTO" stands for "Gran Turismo Omologato", i.e. "approved for grand touring".

A total of 36 vehicles were made, and they were sold for US$18,000 each. The bodywork was designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti. It was equipped with a 3-liter V12 engine capable of producing 300 horsepower, a four-speed manual transmission and could accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds. Its maximum speed was 274 kilometers per hour. It won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1963, as well as the 1962, 1963 and 1964 editions of the Tour de France automobile. In 2004, Sports Car International placed the 250 GTO number eight on its list of the best sports cars of the 1960s.
